Why in the world was John Barrasso selected by the GOP powers that were and Dem Gov Dave to be Senator Thomas's successor as US Senator?

He doesn't get it.

Yesterday during his Republican address, Barrasso announced that solar and wind power don't produce enough energy for US Consumers. Well, DUH. Barrasso went on to claim that we need MORE energy, and we need it FASTER, and oh yeah, CLEANER too...and darn it all, we need to do all this at the same price as we are now.
 
Forget "environmentally friendly" though, says Dr. John, and Make More Jobs.

Barrasso:"We need to make America's energy as clean as we can, as fast as we can, without raising energy prices for American families."

"We need more energy, and we need it even at times when the wind isn't blowing and the sun isn't shining," he said. (Pssst...someone point him to the Dept of Energy website!!! They're working on these really wow energy storage solutions. No kidding!)

Barasso's observations are dull, his goals unrealistic, and his solutions short-sighted. Not the kind of guy you want for your doctor OR as your Senator.

But what an excellent lobbyist, er, spokesperson, er, toadie, er...friend of the Oil, Gas and Coal Guys.

Rock on Dr. John! Wyoming's next Senator might end up being a Democrat if you don't start catching on pretty fast.
