I know, I know!! Everyone out there hoped or thought we here at the Shadow were long gone. Well even we hate the hot weather and have been hiding in the “air conditioning”. Well we stuck our foot out the door for several days now and it would seem that summer may be gone. This made us think it was time to crank it back up again and gets the blood flowing here in Glendo again!!

The problem seems to be that we as a town are now flush with cash and will be able to get all those promised programs off the ground. Before we forget “a giant pat on the back to the people of Platte County for their vote”. Once again proving that if you get the correct information out to the people and allow them to make up their own minds. More times than not things will work out. Everyone seems to be getting along here in town with no major battles staring at us in the near future so things may stay boring for a while. All the news on the ongoing projects seems to be good. It does seem like a shame that the poor guy running the sewer project had to pass away to get things off the ground.

The one thing Councilman Bill might answer for us is the rumor that they are putting in some apartments in the old store on main street. We were wondering how that was possible seeing there was ordnance against anyone living on Main Street. Sort of hard to Grandfather something in this late in the game. Part of the answer may be that Councilman Chuck seems to be involved in the project. I’m sure we will get an answer quickly!!!

Well now that you know we are back what would you folks out there like to talk about??
